26 Weeks, 98 days left!

26 Weeks is here and I finally am getting overly excited. So there has been a reason we keep getting ultrasounds (we have had 4 so far and my office only does 2 typically). Our baby at her first anatomy scan was measuring little, but they were more concerned because her femurs were really little (which is a surprise because I am a tower...)  which is a soft indicator for Downs Syndrome. So we went back a few weeks later and she was still measuring small. So we were referred to a specialist and had that done Monday. We said a lot of prayers that if it was His will she would be healthy, and if it wasn't that we would be comforted. The thing is I know we could handle anything the Lord throws at us because He only asks of us what He knows we can handle.
So we had the ultrasound and she was still measuring very small (now like 2 weeks behind where she should be) and he just goes "nope she's fine, she's just tiny". He couldn't find anything that could indicate that there was an underlying problem. It was a relief, not that I wouldn't be happy even if our little girl had differences, but obviously everyone hopes that their child will have an easy life so I felt very grateful that this wasn't something I had to be prepared for. One of the coolest parts of the ultrasound is the tech was getting mad that our sweet girl kept covering her face and all of a sudden she switched to 3D! It was the coolest thing. She was still covering her face a ton but we got two photos where we saw what she really looked like. They will be at the bottom :)

How far along:
26 weeks

Size of baby:
Butternut Squash! Almost 2 pounds.

Total Weight Gain:
I haven't really bothered to look.

Stretch Marks:
I think I might be getting little ones on my love handles? Maybe? I don't know it's very light pink and it's always after I change out of maternity jeans so idk if it's pink from the seams or not. Oh well!

Maternity Clothes:
Pure bliss.

Gender:
She is officially 100% a girl. This tech was extremely positive so thank goodness lol. The last one was too but this one said she won't even tell people if she's not certain haha.

Movement:
She was moving lots! It was so fun to see her wiggling at the ultrasound she was all over the place.

Belly Button in or out?:
I don't think it'll ever pop out. Maybe at the last stretch?

Sleep:
Sleep is great. I wake up a lot but fall asleep quick. Except for the night before the ultrasound. I think I was so anxious that I just couldn't sleep.

What I miss:
Well I went to the dollar theater and was SO uncomfortable. I think it's because the chairs only go just right below my shoulders and I need more support than that for almost 3 hours. So that's sad. Guess it'll only be expensive ones from here on out.

Food Cravings:
My friend Marianne had amazing lettuce wraps at her reception last year. And that's all I want! Mmm they were tasty.

Food Aversions:
Not much these days :)

Nausea:
More than nausea I start getting light headed and get cold sweats if I haven't had much water. I was a bit nauseous all night before my ultrasound but I think it must've just been nerves.

Moody/Happy?
Very happy :)

Wedding ring on our off?
It's on! Haven't gotten swollen feet or hands yet. Thank goodness it's not summer!

Symptoms:
Standing on my feet all morning at church yesterday while we rushed around the library to get the packets ready was way rough. My feet killed and my lower left back was aching so bad. I get light headed pretty easily and get a little bit of reflux but no more than I got before I was pregnant so I don't really notice.

What I’m looking forward to:
Seeing our little girl again in 6 weeks... I know that's forever away but it was so cool seeing her in 3D that I hope they do it again!

Baby Names:
After seeing more of what she looks like we are like 99% sure. We call her by her name all the time. But we still want to see her first. If people ask me I don't mind telling them, just don't want to officially announce it!

26 Week Photo

Sweet Girl's Photos:
"No close-ups today please..."
"Maybe just a quick peek"
"Gotcha! Beat iiiiit" Literally reminds me of a Michael Jackson pose. She always does this!

She totally has Bryce's nose in my opinion. That's her umbilical chord in front of her lips. And the placenta to her side of her face.
Or does she look like me? Hmmm..
She's pushed up against the placenta and is squishing her face into it according to the tech lol.

"That's enough, thanks for coming see ya byyyyyye"
She really was doing this 99% of the time, we got lucky she showed us her face super fast in those two shots! Love this sweet girl so much, we can't wait to kiss that sweet face in 14 weeks! 😍

25 Weeks!

25 Weeks!! I swear each week goes by so fast. I'm glad that I still have 15 weeks left, not too soon! I love being pregnant and I'm still sleeping great and not too uncomfortable, so I'm living it up :) our little girl is moving a ton still and I've heard these next 3 weeks are the most active for her. I hope she channels all of that energy in a place that's NOT my cervix... Because it's starting to hurt. Here is the update :)

How far along:
Exactly 25 weeks today :)

Size of baby:
This is getting more and more gray each week. One app says cauliflower, one app says a word I've never heard of, and the other I forget. But anyways she's supposed to be 13.5 inches, but some say 12.5 and some say up to 14 inches. At my appointment on Thursday she was measuring 12.5 inches, and 1 pound 4 oz. She is really small I'm told, just like her mom and the rest of my side of the fam it seems.

Total Weight Gain:
I think I am at 7 or 8 pounds now? Seeing as I'm supposed to gain 25-35 pounds, I think I'm doin alright!

Stretch Marks:
None, but you know the blonde hairs on your face on the sides of your cheek? That peach fuzz? I swear it's getting fuzzier Ahhh. So my mom dermaplaned it. I'm much less self conscious now lol.

Maternity Clothes:
All I enjoy wearing.

Gender:
Still a girl in the last ultrasound! Phew!

Movement:
She's killing me a little. But I still love her and love her kicks, even if they hurt a lot hahaha.

Belly Button in or out?:
Still an innie! And still way deep. But the bottom of where I had my belly button pierced a long time ago is now not in my belly button... It's on top. Hahaha

Sleep:
Sleep is great but my hips hurt when I lay on the floor for awhile!

What I miss:
After I eat my stomach is literally tired. Not sure if my abs are stretching or what but it feels like I do crunches for days after I eat!

Food Cravings:
I haven't been caving when I see Panda. This last week all I wanted was In n Out and a Thai chicken pizza and. If fall chicken pizza from Slab in Provo. So glad that craving was fulfilled. But now I want t again as I'm typing. Oops.

Food Aversions:
Just the scent of cooking chicken these days.

Nausea:
More than nausea I start getting light headed and get cold sweats if I haven't had much water.

Moody/Happy?
So happy :) life is great.

Pregnancy Brain Moments:
I just have short term memory loss... Hahah

What I’m looking forward to:
Our last ultrasound is this week!! I can't wait to see our little girl and see if she is getting big! Woo!

Baby Names:
Still pretty set on one and we refer to her by that name, we will see if she looks like the name we like when she gets here :)

24 weeks, 16 to go!

24 weeks. This is the day I've been waiting to reach. My entire pregnancy my brain has been swimming with fears. I have watched some of my closest friends lose their little ones so early on, some lose them later on, so since the day I found out I was pregnant I have been cautious. I was excited when I found out, but it never really escalated like it does for what seems to be everyone else. In my head, there was a good chance that something could go wrong, because it has for so many of my dear friends. So when I hit 12 weeks, I was excited, but still for me, 24 weeks has always been when I told myself I could relax. 24 weeks is when the baby can survive with medical intervention, that's what is always in my mind, so that's been what I have always shot for. It sounds so silly, my family has all had very healthy pregnancies, I guess my mind has always been a bit cautious. I guess it's kind of a part of motherhood. Always worrying... As I have been told, that never ends. Since yesterday I have had a lot of pain in my lower right area of my tummy, I'm pretty sure I pulled or strained a ligament, because every time I step on my right foot, it's painful there. So that's frustrating. Guess I must have pushed myself too hard working out! :(
It does blow my mind that there are only 16 weeks left. Sometimes it seems like forever away and sometimes it seems SO close!! I go back and forth.
anyways, here is the Bumpdate!

How far along:
Exactly 24 weeks along!!

Size of baby:
She is the size of a cantaloupe, ear of corn (wasn't that awhile ago?), or an eggplant. In other words, she is over a foot and weighs a pound and a half! So big!!

Total Weight Gain:
I have gained a total of 6 pounds so far. Seeing as I have 16 weeks left to gain, the last few weeks being the most, I feel okay with having gained 6 pounds in 24 weeks!

Stretch Marks:
Still none to speak of! But I'm noticing my veins getting darker and I'm nervous they will pop out and become vericose veins.

Maternity Clothes:
My best friend. My sister sent me a box and I'm so grateful, much more comfortable!

Gender:
Still a girl ;)

Movement:  She is getting much stronger. :) Bryce was feeling her kick the other day and let out a "woah! That was her?!" because it was so strong!

Belly Button in or out?:
Still an innie! And still way deep.

Sleep:
Still sleeping well. Waking up to use the bathroom but falling back asleep pretty quick.

What I miss:
Feeling in shape. It's hard to feel in shape with this big belly! ;)

Food Cravings:
I love frosted flakes right now. NOM. Also I still have an irrational craving for Kung Pow Chicken.

Food Aversions:  Chicken that's home cooked, some red meats still, and I really hate left overs. I hate the smell of cooking meats.

Nausea:
Not frequently. Still happens some times though!

Moody/Happy?
Majority of the time I'm way happy!!

23 Week Bumpdate

Here I am at 23 weeks. My tummy has been killing me all day, lots of gas pains which means back to drinking my good old friend miralax. I told Bryce that if I didn't have something like that I would've had to make another trip to the doctor or ER. For those of you who didn't know, I was hospitalized for a few days about a year ago after they found out I had a large blockage in my intestines. It causes excruciating gas pains that feel like stabbing pains everywhere. They did a colonoscopy to rule out chron's and the experience was miserable. Luckily I found with my current doctor that miralax helps with moving my blockages so I'm normal if I include miralax in my diet. Luckily it has no taste!! Anyways, luckily it was a slow day at work (I usually hate slow days but I was in so much discomfort it didn't matter... That shows me to go awhile without taking miralax :( )
ANYWAYS, our little girl is wonderful and healthy as far as we know. We have our last ultrasound to get a few more measurements they couldn't get right since she was a squirmer last time, next Thursday, so that's exciting! One more than most get! Haha :)

How far along:
Exactly 23 weeks along :D

Size of baby:
She is a little over a foot- or the size of a bunch of grapes... Which sounds inaccurate. But I'll allow it. She ways almost 20 oz or a pound and a quarter. Our little girl has always measured 6 days behind so I'm sure she doesn't weigh that much!

Total Weight Gain:
Good question, no idea. Always forget to weigh in the morning which is what I always compare my weight to for past weigh ins so... Oops. I'm supposed to be gaining a lot of weight now?? Who knows.

Stretch Marks:
Still none to speak of!

Maternity Clothes:
No new additions but my amazing sister has sent a box my way with cute maternity things! :)

Gender:
Not much to update. I think I have a fear that we will go in for my ultrasound and they'll be like JUST KIDDING it's a boy. They did tell me with girls there is a 3% chance they are wrong... Yikes.

Movement:  She is still moving all the time. Her kicks are now directed at my cervix and bladder which isn't necessarily enjoyable. I prefer her kicking my belly so I can feel on the outside :)

Belly Button in or out?:
Still an innie, a never ending pit.

Sleep:
Sleep is still going well. If I lay on the floor for a nap, my hips kill after.

What I miss:
Every time I eat I feel like my stomach is going to explode.

Food Cravings:
This is bad. I've had Kung Pow Chicken from Panda 3 times since last Tuesday. I'm obsessed. It's so spicy and delicious. Enjoying it still while I can.

Food Aversions:  Chicken that's home cooked, some red meats still, and I really hate left overs. I hate the smell of cooking meats.

Nausea:
Today I woke up sick but it didn't feel like morning sickness, more flu-like.

Moody/Happy?
Still so freaking happy :) being married to Bryce makes life enjoyable! He's so funny.

Pregnancy Brain Moments:
I just have short term memory loss... Hahah

What I’m looking forward to:
Ultrasound next Thursday :)

Baby Names:
Okay so I have an illogical fear that one of my friends will name their baby something and I will have had the same name and they'll think I copied them... I don't care if my baby has the same name as one of my friends babies, but I don't want to anyone to think I stole a name haha. However, we are keeping it to ourselves since when we see her she may look like something totally different. But we have 3 top names... And they are all VERY cute. That is all.
